Our Boat

Our boat is a 16m power Catamaran – providing stability on the water and comfort during travel, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our participants. 

The vessel’s redesign has been informed by professional knowledge and community consultation.  The purpose-built redesign has been user-led, guided by advisors with lived experience, with end-user needs considered at every stage. Key modifications include:

  • Fully accessible bathroom – A critical feature for many participants, especially given the 4–5 hour trip durations and the potential for overnight adventure experiences.
  • Boat extension (stern) with wheelchair accessible ramps and modifications.
  • Accessible enhancements including a self-service coffee area.
  • Generous indoor space – A spacious lower deck is vital to ensure easy navigation for wheelchair users and to provide sheltered, comfortable areas for all participants in any weather conditions.
  • A range of adaptive fishing equipment.

This is not just a retrofit, it is a purpose-built redesign, shaped by professional expertise and guided by ongoing engagement with local disability organisations and those with lived experience.

Every decision is informed by our community to ensure the vessel delivers unforgettable adventures that meet the real needs of those we are here to serve.

We are reimagining a traditional vessel as a community adventure vessel, built in partnership with our community and guided by universal design to ensure adventure is truly accessible to all.
